It smells as the dry down of Terre d'Hermes mixed with synthetic tangerines of John Varvatos Artisan. The richness of the composition is not even close to Terre d'Hermes.
In this video I break down 2015 release, Icon by Dunhill. This is a very interesting modern masculine scent which smells like it could have been released by Hermes and made by Jean Claude Ellena. This might be why so many consider it so similar to Terre D'Hermes. I feel the perfumer Carlos Benaim tried to one-up his CK Eternity with this one - same versatility. And the spicy pepper in Icon works just as well as it does in Chanel’s more grapefruit-oriented Bleu, undergirding the composition beautifully to let the citric notes, especially the very orangey .
