One trick to make it less grindy is use auto-battle license, get main MP to 0 with monster egg, use no mount, and don't use title which recover MP. I have tried admin spawning animals and taming them, those over 40 still don't gather XP. I don't have any adjustments to the NPC levels in the settings and I have set it to not clamp the level on my home server. Nothing seems to work. The max Level on officials is wild Level (After its tamed or Born ) x 2 +30. so if you manage to Breed a Level 120 near its max Level would be 270. Makes killing (harvestXP) much easier. Next is bear, easy to tame with wooden billboards. Elephants are great wood harvester, but in berry/veggie rich environment, it's a pain in the butt to clear the cargo.
